For Everything there is a Season

February 24, 2018

Taking a walk today with the temperature of 79 degrees was wonderful.  The sun was shining and a light breeze was blowing and my eye wondered over to the contrast of gorgeous pink blooms peaking out from many brown branches of an oak.  The flowers of the crabapple were just gorgeous while the bare limbs surrounding them were dull.  It occurred to me that each had a different kind of beauty but for a season.  A large clock tower stood behind the trees and reminded me that beauty is for a season.  Soon the gorgeous blooms of the crab apple will give way to bright green leaves and the bare limbs of the oak will sprout majestic leaves that provide protection from the sun on those hot summer days.

The Scripture in Ecclesiastes 3:1 say "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens".

It's very easy to 'stay in the past or the future' but do we truly appreciate the season we are in and the beauty that is prevalent in the present time?

Joy for the journey,

Hannah
